Have you every felt stuck when it comes to social media channels?  Want some advice on how to pick the strategy that’s best for YOU?

The post entitled, A Checklist to Choose Which Internet Marketing Channel is Right for Your Business by randfish provides a overview and visual matrix to help you pick the best marketing strategy for your business.   The first questions you should ask yourself when planning an online marketing campaign are. . .

1.  What do you want in terms of results?

2. How much do you have to spend?

3. Who do you have to help you?

The results of your marketing efforts can be in the form of traffic, awareness, or ROI (return on investment).  You have to think if someone wants to know you they’ll visit your page to learn more.   If they like you or your solution to their problem, they would opt-in or subscribe.  And if they really trust you, they will buy what you’re selling.  The interesting thing I observed from this company goals matrix is that the sales channels are the same regardless of your budget.

In essence, the critical element is picking the most appropriate marketing tactics.  You have to think clearly about what outcome you desire before you begin your campaign.

Although, I found this article very insightful.  I am curious to know why display ads are listed under the Education column with a moderate to very high budget.  I think display ads are only effective if you pick  relevant keywords and should have only been included in the Brand Awareness column.  Other than that everything else was explained very well and I would recommend this checklist as a marketing resource.
